BMW USED CARS, z4: Used bmw z series - z1
Used bmw z series - z1The BMW Z1 car is a two-seat soft top roadster. It uses the engine and transmission from the BMW E30 car 325 model mounted in a specially designed base frame or chassis, which is made from galvanised steel. BMW car's front suspension is re-worked 325 components, with a wider track. The rear bmw car's z1 suspension is the specially designed 'Z axle'. The most distinctive features of the body are the electrically powered doors, which in the open position drop down into the side sills, this creating the ultimate 'open car' when the soft top is lowered underneath its' flat cover.

The first example of a Z1 BMW car was released by BMW to the press in 1986 and later officially presented at the 1987 Frankfurt Motor Show. Initial demand was so fierce that BMW had 5,000 orders before production began. Unfortunately, demand dropped significantly around 1988 and BMW ended production Z1 cars in 1991. There is speculation that this drop in demand was due to the introduction of the Mercedes-Benz SL (Brossaud, 1) and the early inflated demand from speculative investors.[2] In 1988, however, BMW was quoted as saying that they had 35,000 orders for Z1s.

Used bmw 6 series - e24The BMW E24 automobile platform was the basis for the first production of BMW 6 Series coupé, produced by the German automaker BMW between the 1976 and 1989 model years. Replaced by the E31 chassis 8 Series coupés, the 6 Series name reappeared with the BMW E63 chassis beginning in the 2004 model year. The E24 borrowed heavily from contemporary 5-series cars (E12, later E28).
The successor to the E9 3.0CSi coupe, the 6 Series E24 sport coupes were produced from March 1976 to April 1989. Over 86,000 bmw E24's cars were built during the production run.
The initial models of the E24 were the 630 CS and 633 CSi. The 633 had a 3210cc six-cylinder fuel injected engine producing 200bhp at 5500 rpm. The 630 CS had a 2986cc six-cylinder engine with a Solex 4A1 carburetor developing 184bhp at 5800 rpm.
Standard transmission on both models was a 4-speed Getrag 262/9, with an optional 3 gear ZF HP-22 auto transmission.
The suspension was a heritage from the E12 5-series, but it was refined for even better performance. Later, the 635 CSi, L6 and M6 models were produced.

BMW USED CARS, 7 series: Used bmw 7 series - e32
Used bmw 7 series - e32In 1987, BMW introduced the second 7 series bmw car model, known internally as the E32. Aimed at the high end of the luxury market, the bmw car offered some of the latest innovations in automotive technology, and a new, top-of-the-line V12 engine. Some luxury options featured on the bmw E32 cars included integrated telephone and fax machines, a wine cooler, double glazing, electronic stability control, and a system that automatically increased spring pressure on the windshield wipers, to keep them firmly pressed on the glass at Autobahn speeds. Incidentally, the bmw E32 car was the first car adhering to BMW's self-imposed speed limit of 250 km/h (155.37 mp/h). According to the official American brochure in 1987, the ungoverned 750iL model of bmw 7 cars could reach 300 km/h (186.4 mph)[citation needed] with a side note that the terminal speed was electronically restricted.

BMW car was also available in a stretched version (indicated by an 'L' after the model number), in which case an extra 11.4 centimetres (4.5 in) of leg room was available to the rear passengers by stretching the rear doors, and the body at this point. It was in all years 88-94 in the U.S.

BMW USED CARS, 5 series: Used bmw 5 series - e12
Used bmw 5 series - e12The BMW E12 car is an automobile that was the basis for the 1972 through 1981 BMW 5 Series mid-size car, produced by the German automaker BMW. The BMW E12 was the first platform to bear the 5 Series name: the '5' denoting BMW's fifth 'New Class' platform. Designed as a replacement for the popular BMW New Class mid-size sedan, the E12 5-Series models were smaller than the large BMW E3 sedan but larger than the two-door 2002 models. BMW E12 cars was replaced by the BMW E28 5 Series in 1981, although production continued until 1984 in South Africa.

As mentioned before, BMW E-12 cars, started life in September 1972. The E-12 replaced the 1500-2000 series that were known as the "New Class" cars. The new class cars saved BMW from near bankruptcy in 1961/2, they gave their structure for use with the 02 series and eventually the 2000CS. They also allowed enough profits to create the six cylinder sedans and coupes of 1968. By 1972 the 1500-2000 was ten years old, BMW knew it needed a successful replacement to form the company's backbone in the 70s. The five series was the fifth "new class" car.

BMW company were mindful on the importance of the American market, a proven source of profits in the 60s. Hence the E-12, more than any BMW before it, was targeted at the American market. The E-12 bmw cars had convenience features its predecessor never had: factory aircon, power windows, power mirrors, electric sunroof, power steering, self-leveling rear suspension, central locking.]
