BMW all-electric urban car MCV - bmw mcv
The new all-electric urban car will release date of 2013. The all-electric propulsion system allows the designers to relocate passenger, chassis, and propulsion components compared to a conventional gas or diesel powered cars layout. Using lightweight yet stiff carbon-fiber reinforced plastic body panels helps the designers to create a sporty-looking small car.
BMW decides that the 250km range on a single battery charge appears to satisfy most users. The new MCV will feature a 134-hp electric engine, giving a 145kph top speed. There are several things that helps with weight distribution. For example an aluminum chassis that carries the batteries and a rear mounted electric drive engine.

MCV advantages:
no exhaust emissions;
no gas stations;
no more money per kilometer
instant torque from zero speed
BMW promise to present in 2011 a 1 –series model, Called ActiveE with all-electric driving and more common design.
