3 generation (body E38) sedans BMW of 7th series has been presented for the first time in May, 1994 by models 730i, 740i with engines V8 in volume of 3.0 and 4.0 l. In September, 1994 the model 750i with 5.4-litre engine V12, and also the extended variants of models 740i and 750i has been exhausted. In September, 1995 model release 728i with the 6-cylinder engine in volume of 2.8 l has begun. In March, 1996 on model replacement 730i the model 735i with 3.5-litre engine V8 has come, and also models 740i (with the new engine of 4.4 l, but without capacity change) and 725tds (with the turbodiesel engine 2.5) have been presented. Except listed above, diesel models 730d and 740d were issued. In manufacture (with 1994 on 2002) complete set BMW E38 repeatedly varied that has caused variety of versions of the given cars.
