Speedhunters and BMW team up for the “Need for Speed Shift” launch
Beginning on Sept 1st 2009, Speedhunters will be presenting a special month-long collaboration project with BMW. Corresponding with the launch of Need for Speed SHIFT, Speedhunters is celebrating BMW month with a series of editorial stories focusing on BMW cars, history and motorsports milestones.
The site will be showcasing all facets of BMW culture, from modded cars to racing history and in-depth car features on BMW’s latest GT and Touring Car race machines.
In May 2008, the Need for Speed brand launched an international car culture blog called Speedhunters.com. Speedhunters teamed up with automotive bloggers, photographers and drivers from across the globe to bring together and present the latest contemporary car culture.

The website quickly drew an international following and currently has over 400,000 unique visitors each month. 60% of these viewers return to the site several times per day on average for a total of 11 minutes.
Speedhunters.com features event coverage from across the globe, from Le Mans, the Tokyo Auto Salon, Goodwood Festival of Speed, to the latest drifting crazes in Japan, Europe and the US. Each month the site features a selection of retrospective articles, new car tests, modified street machines and race car features.
