While there is an abundance of BMW 5 Series spy photos, the next generation 2011 BMW 6 Series test mules are laying low for now. The new 6er is scheduled to be revealed in the second half of next year with sales beginning in 2011.

To substitute the lack of spy shots, several renderings artists have been putting their skills to use in creating some new renders of what they believe the next 6 Series would look like. While the previous computer generated images were all based on the CS Concept design language, this latest image takes an unique approach, despite some Z4 design influences.

But what do we really know about the next 6 Series?

It seems that everyday new spy photos of the next generation BMW 5 Series are hitting our inbox. Several test mules spread around the world and the testing process is its in final stages. The new BMW 5 Series is rumored to be revealed in the next couple of months and the official launch has been scheduled in March 2010 at Geneva Motor Show.

Unfortunately, nothing new has been revealed in these spy shots, we’re still looking at the now famous BMW camouflage hiding the last details of the new design. Compared to previous photos, we’re looking at one of the entry level 5er, either the 535i or 535d.

Interlagos (BR). In an electric and action packed Brazilian Grand Prix the BMW Sauber F1 Team earned its second trophy this season. Robert Kubica managed to come second in the race after starting from only eighth. Nick Heidfeld improved in his first stint from 18th to tenth, but then retired after his first pit stop because the fuel rig didn’t work and let him run dry. The eight points scored in the penultimate race of the season has put the BMW Sauber F1 Team ahead of Renault in the Constructors’ World Championship to seventh. The BMW Sauber F1 Team wants to congratulate Jenson Button and Brawn GP for the Championship titles.

Mario-Roman is famous for his extraordinary photoshoot sessions, especially when it comes to cars. In the past, we’ve seen some of his work on the new Z4 and now, he has returned with a series of 5 Series GT photographs.

The new niche model from BMW, 5 Series GT, has launched recently during an international press event that took place in Lisbon, Portugal. In a couple of weeks, the 5 GT will officially launch in the U.S. as well, with the high-end 550i GT model being the only one available to order at the moment.

Before we dive into the photo  gallery, here is a recap on the 5 Series GT. Based on the platform of the new BMW 7 Series, the 5 Series GT was built on the same principle that made the original Gran Turismo vehicles so popular: a high-performance luxury automobile designed for long-distance driving. The 5 Series Gran Turismo tones down the front-end of the 7 by offering a more attractive and easier accepted design.
