Useful guide to renting a car, which will help you have a trouble free rental.
1. Before booking - look what is included in the reservation fee and what is not. Some car rental companies charge extra if you can't return the car to the same rental branch, are leaving the country or are under or over a certain age.
2. Read the paperwork - make sure you read all the term and conditions of rental car contract. Ask for a copy prior to take the time for previosly reading the contract.
3. Insurance - check if there are any exclusions to you loss or damage waiver insurance. For example, in most cases windscreens, tyers, roof damage and undercarriage damage are not covered.
4. Fuel - in some cases you'll return a car with empty fuel tank paying for fuell to the rental company previosly. In other case you'll return car with the same fuell level as you'll have taken.
5. Going abroad - Tell the rental company if you are planing to take the car abroad. You may need to have additional documentation (VE103 certificate for example).
6. The collection - check all possible damages inside and out the vehicle.
7. Ther return - allow plenty of time, particulary at busy rental sites such as airports. It will bette if the rental car company person check the vehicle with you.
8. Addiition charges - In this case take make shure it comes with an explanation and some supporting documentation.
